Legal Notice — Terms of Use for Videos on MoodyCanvas

Use of Purchased Videos

Videos purchased on MoodyCanvas are intended for professional screen display, including LED walls, video walls, digital signage screens, projectors, monitors and similar display systems.

When you purchase a video pack, you do not become the owner of the videos. Lafabrikapixel SL remains the exclusive owner of all video content and retains all intellectual property rights.

Your purchase gives you a non-exclusive, lifetime usage license to display the purchased video pack according to the following rule:

one client, one physical location, unlimited screens at that same location.

The license does not require annual renewal and there are no recurring fees for the licensed use.

Professional Use by Integrators, Installers and Agencies

MoodyCanvas video packs may be purchased and used by professionals such as AV integrators, screen installers, digital signage providers, agencies, architects, interior designers and other service providers.

You may purchase a video pack on behalf of an end client and include it as part of a wider installation, design project, display system or digital signage service.

This is allowed provided that:

  • the video pack is licensed for one end client only;
  • the video pack is used at one physical location only;
  • the videos are not resold, redistributed or offered as standalone digital files;
  • each additional client or physical location requires a separate license.

You may charge your client for your installation, integration, consulting, design or technical services. However, you may not sell the video files themselves as if you were the owner or creator of the content.

License Rule: One Client, One Physical Location

Each purchased video pack is licensed for:

one client + one physical location + unlimited screens at that location.

For example:

  • if a client has 50 screens at a single hotel, office, showroom, restaurant or shopping mall, only one license is required;
  • if those 50 screens are spread across 3 different physical locations, 3 separate licenses are required;
  • if an integrator wants to use the same video pack for 3 different clients, 3 separate licenses are required;
  • if a hotel chain wants to use the same video pack in 5 different hotels, 5 separate licenses are required.

For multi-location projects, please contact us to discuss a suitable licensing option.

Use on Multiple Screens

A single license allows the purchased video pack to be displayed on unlimited screens located at the same physical site.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • LED walls;
  • video walls;
  • digital signage screens;
  • projectors;
  • monitors;
  • reception screens;
  • lobby displays;
  • restaurant or hotel screens;
  • showroom displays;
  • retail screens.

The number of screens does not matter as long as they are all located at the same licensed physical location and used for the same end client.

Use in Playlists and Digital Signage Systems

You may use the purchased video pack in playlists, loops or scheduled playback systems.

You may combine several MoodyCanvas video packs in the same playlist to create longer, more varied and less repetitive playback, provided that each video pack is properly licensed for the same client and the same physical location.

You may also combine the video content in a display sequence with other content, such as:

  • a client logo;
  • informational slides;
  • promotional videos;
  • menu screens;
  • announcements;
  • wayfinding content;
  • other licensed visual content.

However, the MoodyCanvas video files must not be redistributed, extracted, sold, sublicensed or made available as standalone files outside the licensed project.

Adding Logos and Branding

You may add your client’s logo or branding before or after the video content in a playlist, intro, outro or display sequence.

You may also overlay a logo on top of the video content for display at the licensed physical location, provided that this does not imply that the client, integrator or any third party owns the original video content.

The videos may not be modified or presented in a way that falsely suggests that another person, company or client is the creator or owner of the original content.

Technical Adaptations

You may make reasonable technical adaptations when required for proper playback at the licensed physical location.

These adaptations may include:

  • resizing;
  • cropping;
  • scaling;
  • compression;
  • format conversion;
  • encoding for a media player;
  • bitrate adjustment;
  • adaptation to a specific screen resolution;
  • adaptation to a horizontal, vertical or custom LED wall format.

These technical adaptations are allowed only for playback and installation purposes at the licensed physical location.

They do not give you ownership of the adapted files and do not allow you to resell, redistribute or reuse the adapted versions outside the licensed project.

Prohibition on Editing, Extracting or Creating New Content

You may not cut, extract, remix, edit or reuse parts of the videos to create new standalone content, new video products, stock footage, templates, advertising edits or any derivative content intended for resale, redistribution or use outside the licensed location.

The videos must remain used as decorative, ambient or artistic display content for the licensed client and physical location.

If your client has specific creative or technical needs, please contact us to discuss a custom adaptation or a specific licensing solution.

Prohibition on Redistribution or Standalone Resale

It is strictly prohibited to resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, rent, lease, lend, give away or transfer the purchased video files as standalone digital content.

You may not:

  • upload the videos to stock footage platforms, marketplaces, template websites or asset libraries;
  • make the videos available for download by third parties;
  • sell the videos as your own creation;
  • include the videos in a product, software, app, platform, subscription or content library where users can access, download or reuse the files;
  • claim ownership, authorship or copyright over the videos.

Any unauthorized redistribution or standalone resale of the videos is a violation of these Terms.

No Time Limit for Licensed Use

Once a video pack is purchased, the license allows lifetime use for the licensed client and physical location.

There is no annual renewal and no recurring fee for the licensed use.

The videos may be used indefinitely on the screens and systems located at the licensed physical site, provided that the use remains compliant with these Terms.

Unauthorized Use and Non-Compliance

Any use of the video content outside the license described in these Terms is considered unauthorized.

Unauthorized use includes, but is not limited to:

  • using the same video pack for multiple clients without additional licenses;
  • using the same video pack at multiple physical locations without additional licenses;
  • redistributing or reselling the video files;
  • making the videos available for download by third parties;
  • claiming ownership of the video content;
  • using the videos in a way that violates these Terms.

If MoodyCanvas becomes aware of a possible license violation, we may contact you to clarify the use and request corrective action.

Depending on the situation, corrective action may include:

  • purchasing the required additional licenses;
  • stopping the unauthorized use;
  • removing the video content from unauthorized locations or systems;
  • confirming the licensed client and physical location;
  • providing proof of purchase or license details.

MoodyCanvas and Lafabrikapixel SL reserve the right to take legal action in cases of serious, repeated or intentional misuse of the video content.

Acceptance of These Terms

By confirming your purchase, downloading a video pack or using MoodyCanvas video content, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use.

If you are unsure whether your intended use is allowed, please contact us before purchasing, downloading or installing the video content.

We are happy to help you choose the right license for your project.
